Carriacou offers a change of pace with its relaxed and easy way of life. Tourism is still sufficiently undeveloped to have had little effect on the lives of most islanders. There are three small hotels, a few guest houses and a number of local restaurants. Self-catering villas and cottages are available to rent. There is excellent swimming, snorkeling and diving. Three dive schools offer PADI certified instruction.

How to Book
To make a reservation, contact us by phone, fax or email to check availability for your dates. Please note that we have a minimum night requirement of 6 nights in the high season and 5 nights in the low season. You make a 25% credit card deposit by phone or fax. We confirm within 24 hours by e-mail or fax. We accept VISA or Master Card.

If you cancel within 60 days of your start date, your deposit is lost. Otherwise, we refund less 10%.

Our services include meeting you at the airport, introducing you to your villa, and a 24 hour help line. At small cost we can stock you up with groceries and drinks, or arrange for a meal to be delivered to your villa. We can also arrange for jeep rental to be delivered, usually on the morning after your arrival. Service charges are 10 to 15%.

For your local flights, use our inter-island booking service. We have flights your travel agents doesn’t!

Where to Eat Out?
It is advisable, especially with the smaller restaurants, to call ahead to check opening hours and what is on the menu that day. Meals are usually cooked to order, so unless you are content to relax with a few drinks and wait a while, it is better to order your main course in advance.

Bogles Roundhouse Restaurant
International cuisine by Roxanne at this unusual building in Bogles. Not to be missed. Open for lunch & dinner. Closed Sunday night & Wednesday.

Off The Hook
Carriacou’s # 1 limin spot. Located right on the beach at L’Esterre bay. They offer the freshest seafood, chicken, pizzas and sandwiches, live music on the weekends. Opens daily.

Hardwood Beach Bar & Snackette
Local with some international influences. Good for drinks and snacks if you are spending time on Paradise Beach.

Grandview Inn
Local with international influence. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and speciality evenings once a month.

Lazy Turtle Pizzeria
This is a fun restaurant serving authentic pizzas & pasta dishes. Located at the Southern quieter end of Tyrell Bay just as you start to climb the hill. Open 6 days a week 11.00am – 11.00pm. Closed Tuesdays.

Green Roof Inn
International cuisine located at Sea View. Dinner Only. Closed Monday.

Moringa

Located on The Esplanade in The Deefer Diving Compound, in Hillsborough. Caribbean cuisine with a French twist. Open for lunch & dinner. Closed Sunday lunch & Tuesday

Kayak Café

Located on the sea front in Hillsborough. Open for breakfast & lunch. Closed Tuesdays.

John’s Unique Resort

Located just as you enter Hillsborough from the north. Local style food open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

La Playa Beach Bar

Located on the town beach just as you leave Hillsborough heading north, turn left by the Rasta Shoe shop. Open 7 days a week fro 10.00am – 10.00pm during the season and often have live music early on a Saturday evening. Sundays 10.00am – 6.00pm. Serving snacks.

Laurena II Jerk Centre

Located on The Esplanade next to Deefer Diving. Local style food. open for lunch and dinner. Closed on Sunday.

Gallery Café

Located in Harvey Vale with views over the bay. Coffee shop with local arts and crafts. Open for breakfast and lunch 7.00am – 4.00pm. Closed Sunday.

Slipway Restaurant

International cuisine from Kate (formerly at The Roundhouse & Garden Restaurant). Tucked away in Tyrell Bay right on the waters edge as its name suggests. Open for lunch and dinner of just a drink at the bar. Closed Sunday evening and Monday (plus Thursdays out of season) Very popular especially for Sunday brunch.

Eating In
Don’t feel like going out? Like to have a meal served right in your villa that you do not have to worry about?

Try our villa meal delivery service from a local restaurant. Consult the menu you will find in your villa and call our office before noon. Place your order and advise us when you would like your choice to be delivered to your door! This service can be particularly useful on your arrival night when you have unpacked and relaxed over those first drinks on the porch…

All these services are available to you at modest charges. No fumbling with cash or credit cards, we pay for everything and add the cost to your bill.

Jeep Rental
If you wish we can act as your agent in booking a vehicle for you to use during your stay. We will reserve you a jeep and have it delivered to your property with gas in the tank. Please let us know if you prefer an automatic or stick shift and left or right hand drive. We will take you to get your visitor’s licence which you will need while on the island. At the end of your stay we will arrange to receive the vehicle from you either at your property or at the airport. See rates and additional rental information here…

Two dive schools (English and German spoken) offer PADI certified instruction.

Diving:

Sailing
We can arrange crewed sailboat day tours to the Grenadine islands or further afield.

Windsurfing/Waterskiing/Sunfish sailboats/Hiking/Bicycles
Rent equipment or hire a guide from town centre locations.

Swimming & Snorkeling
Good swimming from the many on-island and out-island beaches accessible by walking, by jeep or by small boat excursion. Bring your own snorkelling gear or rent from one of the dive shops. Beaches vary from the whitest coral sand through golden brown to shining clean volcanic black.

Fishing
Bring your own gear and you will stand a good chance of a catch from any of the beaches or rocky points. We can arrange for local fishermen to take you out trolling for something bigger.

Land Tours
We can arrange guided taxi tours around the island or take a deep breath and try out the dollar bus services to all parts of the island.

Air Tours
All the islands of the Grenadines are available by day-tour charter plane for parties of 6 – 9. Otherwise it is possible to make a scheduled day visit to Grenada or Union.

Evening Events
Our staff will tell you where the party is being held! Expect a local disco with some hot music. Occasionally you will be lucky to hear live performances of steel bands, calypso singers, Big Drum and Quadrille.

Festivals
Carnival is held in late February. Maroon Music & String band Festival is last weekend in April.  Regatta is usually the last weekend of July. Parang (folk music/calypso) is mid December.
